Black Student Union displayed this poster in Smith Hall promoting their late night delivery service that will be held on April 11th from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. There will be fried oreos, taffy grapes, and funnel cakes ranging from $2-$5! Order these tasty treats while you can!

HBC Game Night
House of Black Culture held a game night on April 3 that included pizza, wings, soda and board games. Students had a great time being competitive and having fun!
Artist Carlos Fresquez comes to OWU
OMSA had Carlos Fresquez come to OWU to talk about his artwork that has been displayed in the Beeghly Library. He visited on April 2, 2019 at 6:30 PM in the Bayley room. Fresquez presented a slideshow that started from his younger days to the present on how he experienced racism, which is in some of his art and how he was influenced by pop culture. Go take a look at his artwork!
More repairs!
The stairs leading into the academic side of Ohio Wesleyan are closed down for repairs. Students have to use the side ramp to get to classes and there are signs warning the students of the shut down area. Be careful and hopefully the stairs will be fixed soon!
Colors flying at the Holi Festival
Horizons International celebrated the Holi Festival that occurred March 22, 2019 outside and inside Benes Room C. Horizons provided food, beverages and music. There were colors flying everywhere! Horizons will be hosting Culture Fest on April 6, mark it on your calendars!

The Science Center Café was torn down and renovated into the Boar’s Head. New options consists of custom sandwiches and wraps. A swipe is taken for a combo meal, no dining dollars! Check it out!
This Anchor Splash was a blast!
Delta Gamma women held their annual Anchor Splash in the Meek Aquatic Center on March 1st. They fundraised for Service for Sight by having students donate their old seeing glasses. There was synchronized dancing and Delta Gamma’s being pulled on inflatable whales, what fun!
Did the groundhog predict wrong?
On February 2, the groundhog did not see his shadow on Groundhogs Day. This predicted an early spring, but was it wrong? The beginning of March proves so, as Ohio has still experienced snow. When will it end and if it does, will it become Summer immediately, or will Spring prevail? Are we losing seasons due to climate change? Maybe we should start asking the groundhog that every year.
Welcoming the new SLU, La Casa
The new SLU, La Casa had an open house in Ham-Wil on Valentine’s Day night. Isabelle Rodriguez and Brayams Ayala Ramos, who are the organizers, explained their plans for next year about La Casa while entertaining students with Just Dance, Super Smash Bros, pizza and drinks.
A purr-fect Valentine’s Day
At noon, Cozy Cat Cottage has visited OWU in the Ham-Wil atrium on Valentine’s Day with six to seven kittens for students to hold, pet and play with in little play areas! Cozy Cat Cottage is a non-profit and no-kill shelter that takes in abandoned and/or abused cats, who are looking for forever homes. They are also looking for student volunteers who are wanting to make a difference and help these furry felines!
